An action that controls the playback of an audio file.

Overview

Set Audio actions control the behavior of an audio file. A Set Audio action can play, pause, stop, restart, replay, and seek through an audio file. It can also adjust the audio file's speed and stereo field position.


Action Properties

Audio

Select the audio input that the action will control.

Playback

Set the audio file's behavior to play, pause, stop, seek, adjust rate, adjust pan, or adjust repetitions:

  • Play: Play the selected audio file.

  • Play At: Play the selected audio file from a given timestamp.

  • Pause: Pause the selected audio file.

  • Toggle: Toggle between playing and pausing the selected audio file.

  • Stop: Stop the selected audio file. When played again, it will restart.

  • Seek: Change the current playback location.

  • Rate: Change the speed of the selected audio file.

  • Pan: Change the stereo field position.

  • Repeat: Repeat the selected audio file.


Play Playback Properties

Return to Start on End

Set if the audio file restarts when it’s finished playing.


Play At Playback Properties

Time

Select the timestamp in seconds to begin playing.

Return to Start on End

Set if the audio file restarts when it’s finished playing.

Seek Playback Properties

Type

Set the type of seek behavior:

  • Seek To Start: Restart the audio file from the beginning.

  • Seek To End: Skip to the end of the audio file.

  • Seek To Percent: Change the playback location to a given percent progress.

  • Seek To Time: Change the playback location to a given timestamp in seconds.

  • Seek By: Rewind or skip forward by X seconds. Select the direction and distance in seconds.

Rate Playback Properties

Rate

Set the speed multiplier.

Pan Playback Properties

Pan

Set the stereo field value from -1.0 (full left) to 1.0 (full right) with 0 as the center.

Repeat Playback Properties

Repeat

Set the number of repetitions.
